Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning optional
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for the baking sheet
  • 2 tbsp melted butter for drizzling

Instructions
 

Preheat and Prep

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Chicken

  • If the chicken breasts are thick, pound them to an even 1-inch thickness for even cooking.
  • Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Prepare the Crust

  • In one shallow dish, mix the Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning (if using).
  • In another shallow dish, beat the eggs until well combined.

Dredge the Chicken

  • Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to help it stick.
  • For extra crispiness, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating one more time.

Bake the Chicken

  • Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Drizzle melted butter over each piece for golden color and flavor.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the crust is crispy and golden brown.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking to retain its juiciness.
